Accessibility Statement

Stepping Stones Occupational Therapy is committed to making our website and services as accessible and inclusive as possible for people of all abilities.

We want everyone who visits our website to be able to find information, understand our services and contact our team with ease. We recognise that people access online information in different ways and may use assistive technologies such as screen readers, voice recognition software, keyboard navigation or screen magnification.

Our approach to accessibility

We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These internationally recognised guidelines explain how websites can be made more accessible for people with visual, hearing, physical, cognitive, learning and neurological disabilities.

Our accessibility considerations include:

  • Using clear, straightforward language

  • Providing a logical page and heading structure

  • Supporting keyboard navigation where possible

  • Using readable fonts and appropriate colour contrast

  • Adding alternative text to meaningful images

  • Using descriptive links and buttons

  • Ensuring the website can be viewed across different screen sizes

  • Avoiding unnecessary movement or flashing content

  • Making forms and contact information as clear as possible

Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we will continue to review and improve the website as content and technology change.

Third-party content

Some areas of our website may use third-party platforms, embedded content or external links that are not fully controlled by Stepping Stones Occupational Therapy. While we aim to choose accessible services wherever possible, some third-party content may not provide the same level of accessibility as the rest of our website.
